Autograph letter signed, dated : Pescia, 18 January 1865, to Ubaldo M. Solustri, secretary of the Accademia dei Quiriti in Rome, 1865 Jan. 18.

Enclosing [not present] a copy of Cavaliere Regli's speech made in Pesaro in praise of the immortal Rossini, promising to send his biographical notes on Guido Monaco [i.e. Guido of Arezzo], saying he is also sending his Memorie artistiche and a letter he is circulating that admonishes Italian municipalities to revive "L'Arte dei Suoni," that he trembles at the very thought that a man as erudite and famous in the profession as Commendatore Listz [sic] will glance through the Pacini's hymn [i.e. Rossini e la patria?], etc.
